ORAINIO
Orainio was first discovered as an egg at the beginning of the new year in 2012. The nest was in a cave near the top of a waterfall, between a lush mountain range and a desert expanse. It contained two shadow dragon eggs and two rainbow dragon eggs. Scientists immediately began monitoring this new discovery.
A few days later during a rainstorm, two rainbow dragons were seen leaving the cave. One, a female, flew off and out of sight. The other, a male, stayed nearby, but not too close to the cave from where he had hatched. Later, he was named Orainio, inspired by the Greek word for rainbow.
His friendly and curious personality won the hearts of many researchers, and led to some insightful discoveries.

Orainio's Egg
Orainio as a hatchling
Recent DNA tests confirm that Rodá the cloud dragon is Orainio's mother, and it can be inferred that Solux is the second parent since they were the only sun dragon around at Orainio's time of hatching.

Since a female rainbow hatchling emerged at the same time as Orainio, we are sure that he has one rainbow dragon sister.

His only other known sibling, Tenebri, is living in the cave near his waterfall. We do not know if the 4th egg that was seen with his egg in the nest ever hatched.
